I'm not sure what car this stuffed into (If you have more details please chime in) but when I saw the set-up I was like whaaaat!....
Interesting things to note:
The engine looks like the torque monster M30, but it has the mechanical distributor still so it's one of the early M30s likely a 2.5L or 2.8L, not the torque monster 3.5L that everyone loves.
The engine bay does not look like a BMW one, so it's likely swapped into another make.
Engine position shoved way back (likely with a modified firewall) and no visible roll cage probably means this is some sort of show car / vehicle for hooning !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! style... which means the car was likely built somewhere in Scandinavia.
Turbo placement is probably the reason the engine was shoved back in the first place so that massive turbo can fit without cutting a hole in the hood
Massive charge pipes probably mean a massive FMIC
2/3 of the engine bay painted yellow?
Ribbed coolant hoses are for your pleasure... I think they are pretty cool actually.
4 blow off valves... in case if one fails you know...
It's probably a pain to put oil in the motor, and to do valve adjustments.
I'd love to see some video of this car in action... if you know that there is some out there post it up!

1. chassis is BMW E23
2. Engine is the M10, M30's 4cyl brother
3. build condition need not imply a Scandinavian origin

Based on the location of the oil cap I think it is an m30

1) No it's not. There's not even shock towers on this car...
2) No it's not. That's a 6cyl distributor, not to mention the motor has an M30 intake manifold on it.
3) Maybe not, but historically that's where most builds of this kind originate.

correct, BulllttRide. My Flu makes me stupid :(
1. chassis is certainly not E23, looks like an 60s/70s german or english car. this should narrow it down, check: Ford, Opel, Vauxhaull, Austin
2. engine is correctly M30
